The President Obama administration announced plans early Monday to enlarge the eligibility needed of a significant housing saving initiative. The modification allows for homeowners with mortgages worth at least 125 percent of their home’s value to refinance into a more affordable mortgage loan through the Making Home Affordable Program. The earlier Making Home Affordable Program only allowed homeowners with loan values of 105 percent or less. The Making Homes Affordable refinaning and/or loan modification plan is part of the President Barack Obama’s multi pronged attempt on the nations biggest housing fall since the Great Depression. Integrated with attempts to alter struggling mortgages, the administration considers its Making Home Affordable initiative can reach up to 9 million American homeowners.
